The first way for me to summon up this year is with gratitude. Firstly, I am grateful to YOU, for taking the time to read, and
reflect, to associate, and disconnect from all the other things you are doing. I am grateful for your active participation in
the YG community. I am grateful that we re-opened and remained open. This year has definitely felt like a series of slow
motion reels. And now here we are at the grand finale two weeks till 2022.
It is not easy getting through the day, for some, it's easier then for others, and if we are going to consider this our community then we need to know how we are.
Many of you haven't returned back to your mats, I understand, life has its way of pulling us in different directions, and also
we've been OUTED, or Divided by vaccinated and not. These last two weeks have been seriously busy, on all fronts. Yet
another reason to be GRATEFUL - my team managed to create our YOGA GARDEN ONLINE. Which if you haven't checked
out, you ought to!
It's full of everything we have ever produced, and we will continue to add more new packages, challenges, lessons, and
sections. It's perfect to give this to people who don't like leaving their comfort zone. It is ideal, for people you love, because it is all made with love, for people who want to feel alive
Figuring out how to build community is one of our
main goals in the coming year. I realize that this
word is over used especially in marketing and in
social media. For me, community is a safe place,
where people hold similar values, and can come
and plant seeds, plant a garden. It is a place that
actively cultivates and encourages growth, learning, sharing, it involves support, love, compassion,
fierce determination and an insane amount of accountability.
Obviously, people have very different experiences
If we are going to create one, let's be honest, the
Yoga Garden Studio, architecturally, and as a space,
it is phenomenal. It is open, spacious, full of light,
gorgeous gardens, and beauty all around. The truth is,
the community that grows from there, can also be as
influential, progressive, and inclusive.
Yoga is all about transformation and change.
I really appreciate all the courage it takes everyone
to come out of their shell and be in a social setting.
I appreciate all the effort everyone makes to plant
trees, seeds, and to take a moment and say...Yes, to
being alive in a positive way. Yes to positivity. We
are encouraged to be frightened, to not trust, to
consume, and proceed. It is very commendable when
people gather, and resist. It is also very special when
they can share their experiences.
Yoga Garden is working to be known for its OFF THE
MAT community building events. These events are
seasonal. This season was extra tricky, but our Klarka
and Sebik managed and built a super team of mama's
when the weather and covid situation permitted. Twice a week moms came with their babies in strollers
and worked out in luzanky. This upcoming season,
winter 2022 we will be making bolsters at the studio.
We sew them, stuff them and make them all, just
like the first winter when we opened, we knitted our
blankets. We get together and make things instead
of going to buy more things, because frankly we all
have too many things. If you are reading this and
you thought to yourself, no I don't...(have too many
things) well I high five YOU!
Simply just by coming to the studio to practice and
be present, instead of going shopping to buy a present...that right there, helps you, the community and
the environment. I mean it's pretty perfect. If you are
short on cash there is always the 100czk hot community class Monday -Friday 8:30-9:30. In the new
year, we intend on expanding our schedule. We can't
grow without you!
You are our sunshine and rain! We live to be of service and provide so many new spectacular possibilities to grow as a community.
We will be open on the 24th, 25th, 26th one class
each day, come and exhale with us, and then carry on
hahaha. I will see you for the last class of the year.
Let's close it off together, and then come celebrate
the new year with me again, plant some positive intentions, and let's hold each other accountable and
Practice your good listening skills and letting go
Merry Merry and Berry Berry to you and YOURS
