Our womanhood series is progressing and I am thrilled at all the opinions, agreements, disagreements, all the view points, and most of all I am so grateful that I can see all the work that is laid out ahead of us. We have so much work, and I feel there is such an intense need for solidarity as well as a compassion.
Solidarity to stick together, to hear each other out. I see how we are all on various wave lengths, where we rather separate ourselves, and not align with some women. This conversation too has a platform, and needs to be discussed. It would be really genuinely incredible for all of us here in the community, to attend and to hear how young women feel, and experience their realities, how middle aged women feel, and how older women have it. I definitely want to say, that the majority of our people(clients) are women, and I would like to recognize and honor their struggles, and challenges. I would like this YG community to validate all of our voices, and paths.
One way is by cultivating this series, by creating a safe space for us to discuss during the womanhood series. If you haven't made it out yet come! We will now also be offering a class before hand. Discussions are on Saturday early evening, perfect for a girls night out after!
If you are a male reading this, this also effects you, and we would love to include you in on the conversation. So far, the turn out of men is very little, and honestly, when men say they are all for equality, and they all want women to have equal pay, then I hope at the same time, they can come and support these conversations and discussions with compassion and curiosity, as well stand in solidarity with us.
Next week April 23, is Earth day. And we are going to have a big PARTY.
You are all welcome to come and boogie. Shake your ROMPA! It's good practice to be fluid and loose, to get your groove on and be in our beautiful space. Climb out of your shell and come be. It will be one of the most playful and spontaneous nights of the year here at YG.
Why not be with us???
Things are heavy still, and will most likely be. We together can make things bearable and find courage to stand together.
See you on the dance floor, or on your mats!
Be well
Big love
